Cashmere fibers are made of scales and a cortex, but unlike other wool fibers, they contain no medulla. This means the fiber is naturally hollow, able to trap more still air and create an exceptionally efficient insulation layer — about eight times warmer than regular wool.
Its smooth scale edges, distinct structure, and natural integrity give cashmere its signature softness and fluid touch. With an average fineness of 14–16 microns, it is known for being fine, light, warm, and wonderfully soft.
However, after visiting more than 200 factories, we uncovered an unexpected reality:
with climate warming and shifting environmental conditions, young goats are producing far less down, and the overall fiber consistency has become harder to maintain. As a result, even the world’s top cashmere products can still carry a faint prickle on the skin — a quiet regret, especially given the premium prices consumers pay.
At YULYNK, we are committed to offering comfort to more people, without compromise.
This is why we choose to work exclusively with the rarest young-goat fleece from the extreme cold regions of Inner Mongolia — known as YULYNK First-Fleece cashmere — with an average fineness of around 13.5 microns.
We pair this precious material with the century-old textile craftsmanship of Jiangnan. Through the meticulous, hand-stitched work of artisans, we aim to restore the purest experience nature has given us — and to honor the original harmony between human beings and the natural world.
